“One of my favorite projects is designing flyers for event venues,” Kim said. “Especially for musicals and concerts. They usually don't have a lot of text, so I get to focus more on the visuals and really be creative.”

When she is designing for performers or bands, Kim likes to do her homework first. “I always look them up to get a feel for their music style, their branding, and their typical colors. It gives me a good starting point and helps me create something that feels authentic to them.”

Making key event info stand out is always a top priority. “Dates have to be big and bold,” she explained. “We want people to know right away when the event is happening. And once you grab their attention with a bold date and strong visuals, they’re more likely to stop and find out more.”

For Kim, a great flyer is just the beginning.

‍

“Once we create an eye-catching flyer, we can roll that same look into social media posts, web banners, digital ads... it all comes together. It’s about creating a full, cohesive campaign.”

Kim’s approach is about more than just making things look good. It’s about making sure every piece of marketing tells a story, catches the eye, and gets people excited.
